Our client is a global EPC firm who builds critical and large scale projects in the Oil & Gas, Renewable/Alternative Energy, Chemical, and Advanced Facilities/Technical Manufacturing industries. They are seeking 2-4 Project Engineers to support a $2 billion project in Arizona.
Responsible for ensuring the engineering and design work is completed in accordance with the contract and within the allocated budget and schedule and for ensuring applicable technical information is communicated between disciplines.
Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, monitoring progress to maintain those schedules and budgets.
Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the Project with other Project Engineers.
Coordinates the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the Company.
May assist the assigned Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of the technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study. Helps determine the technical skills and staff hours required.
Ensures customer criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines. Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the customer. Understands the customer's business goals in order to enhance the project work.
Prepares technical reports, project manuals, and documentation of activity for the customer and management.
Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.
Reviews and approves technical change orders.
Notifies affected personnel of all changes. Interfaces with procurement in coordination with vendors/subcontractors.
Assists in bid analysis, vendor availability and capability.
Education: BS or MS in engineering degree or equivalent international degree.
3-8 years of experience as a Project Engineer on a Construction project
Experience supporting EPC Projects of technical high speed manufacturing facilities, aerospace manufacturing, biotech/pharma facilities, food and beverage facilities, data center, or other similar projects.
Experience managing projects during FEED stage, worth $20M - $50M
Experience on "mega" projects in the $500M - $1B+ range will be ideal
Other requirements: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to maintain confidential information critical.
